The Louvre Museum Exhibition

Time fly so fast, it is already middle of May.
It’s the best season to go out for fun!
The other day, when the weather was nice, I decided to go to 
the exhibition held in The National Art Center, Tokyo.

This exhibition is made up of 83 works that were carefully selected from the Louvre Museum.
A complicated moral lesson maybe put in the genre painting and people enjoy finding what is hidden behind.

In addition to Vermeer’s The Astronomer, the exhibition presents works by prominent painters from every era and region including Tiziano, Matsys, Murillo, Delacroix, Millet … allowing viewers to enjoy the diverse charms of genre painting.

Showroom display has been refreshed

Nice warm weather is continuing these days. It’s time to pull off our coats and enjoy the spring breeze! 

At May’s, we have recently refreshed our showroom.

The bedroom corner has been coordinated with white, sky blue and light green colors, which set picture of refreshing early summer. The patio set is originally for outdoor use, but it can also be used in indoor spaces with suitable coordination. 

Living dining room has been decorated in a calm atmosphere with chinoiserie taste interior.

At May’s, we require no coordination fee for normal household coordination.

Tableware on sale!

The warm daylight tells us the arrival of spring.But it may be tough season for people with hay fever...!

As we mentioned in the last blog, our show room has been refreshed in spring colors. The number of visitors coming to our show room has somewhat increased after using yellow as an accent for coordination. 

In May’s show room, we are temporary providing cup and saucers, mug cups, and gravy for knockdown prices. Some are new and some are second hand items. How about using them as an everyday use for your family and visitors?

The gravy could be used not only as a sauce server, but also in different ways. In our showroom, we are proposing a new way of using them as a flower vase. There are only few remaining, so please come to our showroom early if you are interested in them.

At May’s, we lease and sell furniture for common residence, model rooms, photography occasions and so on. We will choose suitable product depending on your needs. 

We are able to provide not only brand-new, but also second-hand furniture. Even items from traditional high-end brands, they will be available in discount prices when they are back from lease. The items in stock change every day, so please visit our showroom to check them out. You may come across an item of your favorite furniture brand.

Spring is time to prepare for new life, and also a good season to refresh your room!

Showroom display has been refreshed

Cold days are still continuing, but spring is just around the corner! We have refreshed our showroom layout for the coming season.

For Living and Dining room, we selected a center table with glass table top, white dining table, white sofa and light-gray rug to create refreshing atmosphere.

The bedroom is in the same tone as Living and Dining room. We selected a white bed sheet, a throw, and some yellow cushions. Bedrooms tend to be dark, so it’s effective to use accessories with bright accent color. 

Enjoy wine with friends in your private time. 

This time, we used yellow and yellow-green as accent color to express the sunlight for the coming season! Those bright colors will lead you to a cheerful mood!

How to reach May’s showroom ～From Toranomon Station～

One month is about to pass for year 2015.Some of the plum trees in Tokyo have already started to bloom.　Plum tree is a signal for early spring in Japan.

How time flies…!

Today I’d like to show how to get to our showroom.

Our showroom actually lies in between Toranomon Station (Ginza Line) and Kamiya-cho Station (Hibiya Line). This time, let’s start from Toranomon Station’s Exit No. 2.  

After exiting the ticket barrier please head toward exit No. 2. 

Take the stairs up to the ground level, and you’ll see this view. Go straight along this road with “虎ノ門薬局” on your right hand.

Walking along, the Torii (Entrance to a Shinto shrine) of the Kompira Shrine will appear. As you can see, this shrine is located in / across a modern building, which is pretty rare. You may also want to visit here if you have time!

Continue walking for two blocks, and you will get to a big crossing, where you can see the Tokyo Tower in the front and Toranomon Hills on the left.

 Keep on walking straight towards Tokyo Tower for one block, and then you’ll get to another crossing with “ SAMURAI HOUSE “ on your left hand.

 Make a right turn, and we’re almost there!
