Designer chairs 2 – Charles & Ray Eames

The most popular and well known designers in Japan are perhaps Charles & Ray Eames.
Charles was born in Missouri in USA and studied architecture in Washington University.

Ray was born in Sacramento, California and studied art. She married Charles in 1941.
Actually, Ray was his second wife, and they kept working together as design partners for over 40 years after their marriage.
They made a contract with Herman Miller and introduced the “Shell side chair” which became a masterpiece of the century. It is simple, yet beautiful, and also matched with the needs of mass production.

They have succeeded not only in architecture and interior designs, but also in art, films and graphics.
We often have a lot of exhibitions and TV programs about them here in Japan.

Designer chairs - Arne Jacobsen

Today, we would like to introduce the work of world famous architect and designer Arne Jacobsen.
He was from Copenhagen, Denmark, and introduced his first furniture design “The Ant Chair” in 1952. In 1955 he presented the “No. 7” chair. Both matched modern needs perfectly by being light, compact and easily stackable.

Two other successful chair designs, the “Egg” and “Swan”, were created for the SAS Royal Hotel, which he also designed, in 1956.

Jacobsen started his career as an architect but today he is remembered primarily for his furniture designs due to these famous chairs.
His products are certified as World Cultural Heritage.
The “No.7” chairs will be in our meeting room from next week!

Table coordination

We perform interior coordination of model rooms and an important factor is not just the choice of furniture, but also the method of using interior items to enrich the lifestyle.

Particularly, the dining table can become gorgeous with fine coordination of tableware and flower arrangements.

If you select some tones to go with the theme colors of the room, the room will be in total harmony.

Glass tableware and vases will also make your dining table look cool during summer.

When you visit model rooms, please pay attention to the table coordination.
