Curtain Style

This week we had a presentation from “Fujie Textile”, a Japanese fabric company who introduced their new collections to us.

Their latest collection “Profile” represents Japanese beauty of the four seasons, with so many beautiful fabrics for curtains and home accessories.

There are also so many varieties of curtain styles such as “ border accent” and “bi-color styles” shown below.

We were really inspired to see this lazer-cut curtain with sheer color curtain on the back.

All of us realized that there is always more to learn about curtain styles.

These fringes would be the accent for the curtains, too.

International lifestyle exhibition

The International lifestyle exhibition is going to be held from 5th to 7th June.

It is Asia’s No.1 international consumer goods trade fair that presents high-end, interior design and products and is held every year around this time.

Industry specialists with the latest world trends will gather from all around the world, and the new lifestyle will emerge here in Tokyo.

This fair originates from the Ambiente and Heimtextil shows in Frankfurt, Germany so we can get valuable information about the latest designs and styles while being in Japan.

May’s 25th anniversary at Tsunamachi Mitsui Club

As we introduced last week, we had our 25th anniversary yesterday on 16th of May.

We celebrated with a private gathering on this memorial day at “Tsunamachi Mitsui Club” in Azabu-Juban.



The Mitsui Club was built about 100 years ago as a guest palace by one of the biggest Japanese corporate conglomerates, Mitsui.
It was designed by the British architect Josiah Condor and is known as one of the masterpieces of historical western building in Japan.


There are huge Japanese and English gardens of about 20,000 square meters. It is difficult to believe that it is situated in the middle of Tokyo.



Inside you can find great and flamboyant interiors, furniture and artwork from world famous artists.
There are also chapels for mariage, a French restaurant and a winery that makes the building even richer.

We were really amazed to see such a beautiful building and pleasured to have a great dinner in such a place.

That also made us decide to reaffirm our determination to do our best for the next 25 years!

25th anniversary coming

This year, May’s celebrates its 25th anniversary. May’s was established on 16th May, 1988, and that’s where our company’s name “May’s” comes from.
We are welcoming this memorial anniversary in the coming week!

Golden week / Showroom display has been refreshed

We are now in “Golden Week” in Japan!

It’s a large consecutive holiday containing several public holidays including “Children’s day” and “ Constitution Memorial day” .

We often take the whole week off so it becomes a big vacation season too.

We recently refreshed our showroom display again for May and it seems like early Summer has already come.
