Today, we would like to introduce the work of world famous architect and designer Arne Jacobsen.
He was from Copenhagen, Denmark, and introduced his
first furniture design “The Ant Chair” in 1952. In 1955 he presented the “No. 7”
chair. Both matched modern needs perfectly by being light, compact and easily
stackable.
Two other successful chair designs, the “Egg” and
“Swan”, were created for the SAS Royal Hotel, which he also designed,
in 1956.
Jacobsen started his career as an architect but today
he is remembered primarily for his furniture designs due to these famous
chairs.
His products are certified as World Cultural
Heritage.
The “No.7” chairs will be in our meeting room from next
week!
